1 Position - Structural Engineer - Full Time (McAllen, Texas)

 Firm: CHANIN ENGINEERING, LLC

Position Type: Full-Time

Experience Level: Mid-Senior (4+ Years)

About the Position:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Structural Engineer to join our team. The applicant should possess strong technical expertise in structural design, project leadership skills, and a proactive mindset. You will be responsible for leading projects from design through construction, working closely with clients, architects, and contractors.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead structural engineering projects from concept through construction administration.
  • Prepare detailed design calculations for reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry, and wood structures.
  • Develop structural drawings and details in coordination with drafting staff.
  • Perform structural analysis and modeling using software such as RISA 3D and ENERCALC.
  • Write and edit technical specifications and engineering reports.
  • Review shop drawings, respond to RFIs, and perform construction site observations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree preferred but not required).
  • Minimum of 4 years of structural engineering experience.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) in Texas.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, TMS, etc.).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with Bluebeam is a plus.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
